Victoria & Albert Pattern: 100 Postcards

London is one of my favorite cities because while it is steeped in centuries of rich history, it radiates the energy of Today while reaching for Tomorrow. And in a city filled with incredible museums, that is why the Victoria & Albert (V&A) is one of my favorites.

And I think this beautiful collection of 100 postcards is a wonderful way to experience the V&A on any day from any place!

A little background: The V&A — which was established in 1852 by the progressive Queen Victoria and Prince Albert — is the world’s leading museum of art and design, housing a permanent collection of more than  2.3 million objects that span over 5,000 years of human creativity.

The museum holds many of the UK's national collections and houses some of the greatest resources for the study of architecture, furniture, fashion, textiles, photography, sculpture, painting, jewellery, glass, ceramics, book arts, Asian art and design, theatre and performance. And, it hosts diverse, vibrant exhibitions that bring the past, present and future up close and personal.

Combine that with our love of things pretty and cool, and you will see why we love having these works of art in our shop — and hope to bring you more from the V&A!

Presented in a colorful presentation box, this set of 100 unique postcards of beautifully printed patterns represents decades of influential design, including William Morris wallpaper designs, Japanese kimono embroideries, the cool restraint of '50s design, psychedelic ’60s textiles, and Liberty & Co.'s iconic fabric prints.

A beautiful gift and a rich trove of inspiration, this V&A Pattern postcard collection truly is the perfect introduction to the incomparable design collections of one of the world's greatest museums. Almost like a lovely stroll through the V&A wrapped up in a box!
