There are so many reasons to love the Grosche Milano Stovetop Espresso Maker in addition to its quality, smart design and the fact that it will make espresso making a delicious and enjoyable experience every time you use it.
You see, the purchase of each Grosche Milano also helps people in six countries get access to safe and clean drinking water, plants trees in Haiti and Africa and supports a banana plantation helping people in South Sudan to achieve self sufficiency.
The Milano is a classic Italian stovetop espresso maker, also called a Moka pot. It’s perfect for anyone who loves the taste of a strong shot or double shot of espresso. Compared to filter coffee makers, this brewing method extracts more caffeine and flavors, and it gives a stronger and richer brew.
The Milano Espresso Coffee Maker/ Moka pot is considered to be the safest stovetop espresso maker on the market, and it is made from food safe aluminum with a non-toxic silicon gasket seal.
You can use it on all gas and electric stovetops — and you can even take it camping, just take along a coffee grinder! — but it cannot be used on induction stovetops.
The Milano is the only stovetop espresso maker is made from high quality, food-grade aluminum, and it features a soft-to-the-touch burn guard on the grip to protect your fingers from touching hot surfaces. The metal threads that connect the top and bottom of the expresso maker are made for a tight seal and long life.
Each Moka pot is a pressure vessel and should be handled with care. That's why Grosche uses only certified, Italian-made safety valves that prevent internal pressure from increasing to a dangerous level.
What is Italian coffee?
Italians are passionate about their coffee, and in Italy, the most popular way of brewing coffee/espresso is in a Italian stovetop Moka pot like the Milano to brew intense and bold coffee.
How to care for your MILANO Moka pot
They say the older these pots are, the better they work. The Milano can last a very long time with proper care. Always hand wash it, and never it in a dishwasher, as it will tarnish and discolor the inside of the pot.
Every 3-6 months or so, you should consider changing the silicone seal that is in the pot and the one that maintains pressure in the boiler section to brew the fine-ground coffee.
