It is not unusual to hear "Crazy good!" and Agrumato Lemon Olive Oil in the same sentence. And it can brighten dishes like no other oil.
Inspiration for Agrumato came from the Abruzzo region of Italy, bordering the Adriatic Sea, where olive farmers have traditionally created citrus oils for family and friends in celebration of a bountiful harvest. At the end of a crushing season, some olive farmers pressed lemons in their mills together with olives to purify the stones and presses.
The crisp freshness of Agrumato Lemon is achieved by the whole-fruit crushing process, which cannot be duplicated by the more common infusion method of other citrus-flavored oils. Whole lemons are crushed together with olives in the traditional cold-extraction method to capture the essential oils of the zest in the resulting extra virgin olive oil
AGRUMATO® Lemon Olive Oil is made with olives and lemons strictly free of harmful substances and carefully selected for ripeness and variety. The whole lemons are then crushed simultaneously with olives in a state-of-the-art frantic (olive mill), resulting in an exquisite, versatile olive oil loaded with the aroma and flavor of fresh citrus. When the resulting paste has obtained the right density, the AGRUMATO® is extracted.
The process takes much longer than is usual for producing extra virgin olive oil, and it cannot be duplicated by the more common infusion method of other citrus-flavored oils. The special Agrumato process produces a low yield, which makes this oil rare and precious.
When Francesco Ricci began bottling citrus oil, he created the name AGRUMATO®—from agrumi, which means "citrus" in Italian—as the brand name for the oils. In 1992, the first production of AGRUMATO® was packed and shipped from Italy to the United States.
Agrumato Lemon Olive Oil took home the 2019 Silver Medal, Flavored Category, in the Los Angeles International Competition; three awards in the Flavored Category at the 2017 Los Angeles International Extra Virgin Olive Oil Competition: a Gold Medal, Best in Class and Best of Show (only 7 were given!).
How to use
Agrumato Lemon Olive Oil's crisp, clean lemon flavor pairs beautifully with fish and seafood. It deliciously complements fresh cheeses like burrata or chèvre. Toss it with fettucine and seafood. Mix with chopped herbs to make a dipping sauce. Pour Agrumato Lemon over foccacia studded with thin slices of lemon & briny olives. Simply sprinkle over sautéed or steamed vegetables, or drizzle into soups. Get creative and find your own favorite Crazy Good! use.

ABOUT THE PRODUCERS
The Ricci Family of Eastern Italy
On the eastern coast of Italy, where soft sand meets the rolling waves of the Adriatic Sea, Lino and Francesco Ricci of Esperidia create an extraordinary product usually reserved for friends and family — Agrumato Lemon Olive Oil. At the end of each olive harvest, fresh, whole citrus fruits are cold-pressed with the olives marrying the two fruits' essential oils. This simultaneous pressing bestows an entirely different taste experience from that of olive oils with citrus essence added prior to bottling. They created the original and one and only Agrumato oil.
