ABOUT THE AUTHOR
LIDIA MATTICCHIO BASTIANICH is the author of twelve previous books and the Emmy award-wining host of public television's Lidia's Kitchen, which also airs internationally in countries that include Mexico, Canada, the Middle East, Croatia, and the UK. She is also a judge on Masterchef Jr. Italy.
Lidia is the chef/owner of four New York restaurants, Fedelia, Becco, Esca and Del Posto, along with Lidia's Pittsburgh and Lidia's Kansas City with her daughter, Tanya.
Her mission of educating has extended far beyond the restaurant world to the marketplace with the opening of Eataly, the largest Italian food and wine marketplace located in the Flatiron District of New York City. In addition to Chicago and Sao Paolo, additional marketplaces are scheduled to open in Boston, Toronto and Los Angeles in 2017.
Lidia has long been a staple of the highly-acclaimed PBS cooking series world since 1998 with five series: Lidia's Italian Table, Lidia's Family Table, Lidia's Italy, Lidia's Italy in America and her current series, Lidia's Kitchen. She lives on Long Island, New York.
TANYA BASTIANICH MANUALI received her PhD in Renaissance art history from Oxford University, her MA from Syracuse University, and her BA from Georgetown University. She is the founder of an Italian food and wine tour company, Esperienze Italiane, the owner and Executive Producer at Tavola Productions, and she manages the Lidia brand and food line. She co-authors cookbooks with her mother and brother and lives on Long Island in New York.
